The ADP Time and Workforce solution consists of three modules: ADP Time Management, ADP Optimisation and the ADP Workforce Portal. These modules aim to provide a seamless experience for employees. They also help companies minimise administrative tasks through automated scheduling based on key business drivers. This allows organisations to effectively monitor and manage workforce costs.

What’s more, the employee engagement tool is designed to reduce manual administrative work, while keeping employees informed about recent business announcements and developments. The application can also send real-time surveys and pulse checks to gather feedback on employee opinions, as well as providing analytical reports that allow for comparisons across different sites.

What were the challenges prior to implementing ADP Time and Workforce:

  • Rotas in stores were previously created manually using Excel files, which were time-consuming, inconsistent and prone to errors.
  • Payroll relied on manual records, with information often sent late, causing delays and inaccuracies.
  • No visibility of the organisation of shifts, real-time attendance, hours worked, or absence management, which limited our ability to monitor productivity or ensure resources were distributed effectively.
  • Reporting on sickness, overtime and absences was reactive rather than proactive.

Why did you select ADP Time and Workforce:

We were already long-term customers with ADP, which provided a level of trust in their proposed solutions. Although we had a real-time product for Head Office, it wasn't fit for purpose, or being used effectively.

ADP Time and Workforce was presented as a workforce management and time and attendance solution that could provide real-time visibility which we were missing at store level.

How did you find the implementation process for ADP Time and Workforce:

Overall, the rollout has been positive, but not without its challenges. The initial preparation and training were conducted during our peak business period so we were under pressure internally. However the support team was very responsive and helpful, answering queries quickly and providing effective solutions.
